Melody of Words

This is called Melody of Words. This was edited by Adobe Illustrator. First we had to draw a sketch of a character or object we would like to put on the poster and then scan it into the computer. Once scanned, we had to open it in Illustator. I had to use the pen tool to outline the sketch and then put them in different layers. I then had to color each different layer. I also added a book for the character to hold because its appropriate for the title and words put in the poster. We also had to include the words "The more you read, the more you know and the more you know, the more you grow.

Magazine Cover

This was a magazine cover we had to create by using adobe photoshop. We first had to take a picture of ourselves and then edit our faces and clothing to make ourselves look more appealing and then we had to drag it into an 8x11 poster. My poster is called More than a Stance and it is a B-boy Magazine. I choose it because I simply love to B-boy and it is what represents me the most. We had to include the title with an interesting font and then our main headline on why we are on the cover of the magazine and then we needed to put 3 ads that are also included inside the magazine. We had to choose Eye appealing fonts and colors that would get a shopper's attention to buy the magazine. I also put the background as the Red Bull BC one stage to make it more appropriate for the headline.

Haiti Poster

This was a poster that we had to create on Adobe Photoshop as an ad/poster a certain teacher needed to advertise for an event. Our objective was to choose an appropriate background. I used a dark gradient background and then I put a picture of the world too to represent that Haiti is just as important as any part of the world. I also added 2 hands reaching for each other to show that we need to give a helping hand for those in need. Then we had to choose an interesting font and I used two different fonts. We had to use a given type or words to use in the poster. The title, message, and sponsors at the very bottom. As you can see, I put the word relief in red to show and promote the "American Red Cross" and I also put the flag of haiti embedded into the words of haiti by using quick mask.

Dear Old Grandfather

This was edited by Adobe Photoshop. On the left is the unedited picture and on the right is the edited. I first had to remove all the dust and scratches on the wall and on the floor and on the horse by using the dust/scratches tool and history brush tool. Then I had to use the clone stamp tool to remove the creased line through the middle. Then I had to use quick mask to change the color of the horse, saddle, the man, clothes, bridle, rope, roof, floor, and rocks. I had to individually quick mask and save the selection and then pick an appropriate color for each.

Family

This was edited by Adobe Photoshop. On the left is the unedited picture and on the right is the edited picture. On the edited picture, we had to use the Dust and Scratches tool and then use history brush to remove all the dust and scratches on the floor and on the peoples bodies. We also had to use the clone stamp to remove the tape on the floor and to make the back wall look evenly painted

Handsome Guy

This is called "Handsome Guy". This was edited using adobe photoshop. On the left picture, there is more wrinkles and light on his face. The objective was to make him look younger by taking off the wrinkles around his eyes and cheeks and his forehead by using the history brush tool. Also we had to make his teeth even whiter to make it shine.

CD Cover : Front and Back

This is my CD cover I designed for my Graphic Design Class. We had to choose an existing artist and create or make up our own album name and songs. We had to focus more on the Front cover and on the front cover we had to make it look appealing of course and we had to put the title and the album title. I used two different fonts so they can focus more on the artist's name. I used also a chucke cheese background to imply that justin bieber still looks and sounds like a kid. On the back cover, we had to include The album title again and the 10 song titles included in the CD cover. Since the Album Title is called My world, I thought it would be appropriate to put planets in the background. We also had to make our own barcode.
